المفاهيم القانونية في كتب الدراسات الاجتماعية والوطنية بالتعليم العام في ضوء متطلبات التربية القانونية وطبيعة المجتمع السعودي
The study aimed to explore of the degree of inclusion of the legal concepts availability required in national and social studies textbooks in Saudi developed public education in light of the requirements of the contemporary legal culture and the nature of Saudi society, adding to estimates of participants in the study about the degree of importance included in those textbooks. The study using descriptive methodology in both types: descriptive and analytical (content analysis) for textbooks, and survey of descriptive of the study participants (208) supervisors and teachers of national and social studies teachers in government schools for boys and girls at all levels of public education in Jeddah city. Study used two tools: 1) content analysis of student book (student book 18) for national and social studies. 2) Questionnaire for collecting data about participants estimates, after check for validity and reliability of instruments. Study present several results: 1) content analysis results revealed that the availability of legal concepts differ from level to anther and it is unbalanced and inadequate. 2) the results of the study showed that the degree of appreciation of the importance of the necessary legal concepts (172) included in the developed national and social studies textbooks of public education in the light of the requirements of the contemporary legal culture and the nature of Saudi society was (very high). 3) The results showed statistically significant differences (a ≥0.05) between study participants responses to important legal concepts included in the health and the environmental field and attributed to gender. While, there are no statistically significant differences (a ≥0.05) among study participants responses to important legal concepts included in the developed national and social studies textbooks in public education due to variables (the academic degree, academic specialization, teaching experience, nature of work). The study also reached to build a matrix and sequence of legal concepts in social studies and national books among the public education of first grade till third grade of secondary (172) concepts spread over all stages of public education in the light of the requirements of the contemporary legal culture and the nature of Saudi society.
