This study aimed to identify the most prominent obstacles to the contribution of educational research to achieving sustainable development, and to reach the most prominent ways to overcome the obstacles to the contribution of educational research to achieving sustainable development. Scientific research in development in the Arab countries in general, and educational research has a great responsibility towards its society, that community service is one of the most important functions of the university, as its activities are directed to all members of society and its institutions, with the aim of improving the conditions of social, economic and cultural life, and one of the most important roles of the university, especially graduate studies. The industry of minds that produce, innovate, and create civilization. In light of the findings of the study, the study recommended the following: Strengthening the relationship between the university and community institutions, to know the emerging issues of society, and the university's contribution to the results of scientific research that contribute to solving these issues. As well as the need to strengthen the role of educational research in universities by transferring it to tangible values that benefit society in all its sectors. The study also recommended working on the preparation of applied research, which is research aimed at solving a problem, or meeting the community's need for a service or a commodity determined by certain conditions and situations. The study also recommended the need to allocate a special body to monitor the results of educational research to benefit from them in making societal decisions, and what can contribute to achieving sustainable development.
