The study aimed at examining the effectiveness of therapeutic ‎storytelling in decreasing binge eating disorder and impulsivity ‎among a sample of adolescents enrolled in the public schools ‎for girls. The study sample consisted of (30) female students in ‎grades from 6 to 8. They were randomly assigned to two equal ‎groups: An experimental group that received the therapeutic ‎storytelling program and a control group that did not participate ‎in any intervention program. To achieve the aims of the study, ‎Binge Eating Disorder Scale and Impulsivity Scale were used to ‎gather study's data from the two study groups in the pre-post ‎tests and from the experimental group only in the follow-up ‎test, in addition to a Therapeutic Storytelling group-based ‎counseling program. The results of the study showed ‎statistically significant differences between the experimental ‎group and the control group in the mean degrees at Binge ‎Eating Disorder in the post-test, in favor of the experimental ‎group. However, the results showed no statistically significant ‎differences between the experimental group and the control ‎group in the post-test at the subscales of: "Negative Urgency", ‎‎"Seeking Sensation" and "Positive Urgency" dimensions in the ‎Impulsivity Scale. Also, the results of the post -and follow-up ‎comparisons pointed out that the differences were not ‎significant on the scales at Binge Eating Disorder and the ‎Impulsivity Scale Dimensions. which reflects the stability of the ‎program effect.
