دور الأنشطة الإثرائية الفيزيائية لتنمية الوعي المهني لدى طالبات المرحلة الثانوية في ضوء مهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين بالمملكة العربية السعودية
The current research aims to measure the effectiveness of physical enrichment activities based on the twenty-first century skills in developing vocational awareness among high school students in Saudi Arabia. The sample included (50) first-secondary grade students selected randomly and divided into experimental and control groups of 25 students each. To achieve the research goal, the researcher prepared physical enrichment activities based on the twenty-first century skills. An experimental method with a semi-experimental design was used for this purpose. The research tool consisted of a vocational awareness scale prepared by the researcher. The study results indicate statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≥0.05) between the mean scores of the members of the experimental and control groups at the post-application of the vocational awareness scale in favor of the experimental group that learned using enrichment activities. The results also showed a significant impact of these activities in developing vocational awareness skills as a whole as well as each topic of vocational awareness (professions and use of technological techniques, values and ethics of the profession, requirements and laws of the profession, profession and self-esteem, profession and social skills, profession and material and economic return). The results also showed statistically significant differences, at the level of (α ≥0.05), between the mean scores of the experimental group members on the vocational awareness scale, before and after the implementation of enrichment activities, and the differences were in favor of the post application. In light of the results, it was recommended to use (physical enrichment activities based on the twenty-first century skills) in teaching the physics course at the secondary level, due to its proven effectiveness in developing their vocational awareness skills, the need to hold continuous training courses to provide physics teachers with how to employ physical enrichment activities based on the twenty-first century skills in teaching a physics course, provide authors and developers of physics curricula, and other educational curricula with the results of this study, as well as studies that showed the effectiveness or impact of other enrichment activities based on the twenty-first century skills in the educational process, the need to pay attention to the skills of the twenty-first century that contributes to increasing the level of students' awareness of the needs of the labor market and the skills required thereof.
