The research aimed to identify the relationship between experiences of childhood abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder in high school students. The research sample consisted of (309) male and female high school students, and they were chosen by the random sample method. The research used the Adolescent Abuse Scale and the PTSD Scale, according to the standards of (DSM-5) (PCL-5). The results showed that there is a statistically significant correlation between the patterns of abuse, their effects and PTSD among secondary school students. Some predicted of abuse (physical, psychological (emotional) and sexual abuse, neglect, seeing abuse from the father, and sexual abuse from the mother) alone predicted post-traumatic stress in high school students, only predicted through post-traumatic stress in high school students, it was also evident that there were no statistically significant differences between males and females in abuse, as well as no statistically significant differences between males and females in PTSD.
