The research aimed at measuring the effectiveness of a program in geography to develop awareness of the environmental and economic applications of nanotechnology for student teachers in the Faculty of Education. The research utilized the descriptive approach and the quasi-experimental approach. To achieve the aim of the research, a list of the dimensions of awareness of the environmental and economic applications of nanotechnology was built, and a measure of awareness of these applications consisted of three dimensions (cognitive - skills - sentimental), and a program that included five topics including nanotechnology and its environmental and economic applications. The research tools were pre and post applied to (40) students of the 3rd grade, Faculty of Education Ain Shams University for the academic year 2020-2021. The results revealed that there is a statistically significant difference at the level of (0.01) between the mean scores of student teachers in the preand post-test application of the awareness scale of the environmental and economic applications of nanotechnology as a whole and in each dimension of the scale individually (cognitive, skill, sentimental) in favor of the dimensional application. The research recommended that nanotechnology concepts and applications should be included in academic and educational courses in geography teacher preparation programs, and the preparation of educational courses and workshops for in service geographers on nanotechnology and its applications.
