أسباب تدني نتائج طلبة المملكة العربية السعودية في اختبار (pisa 2018) لمادة الرياضيات من وجهة نظر عينة الإختبار

This study aimed to identify the reasons for the decline of students’ results in the test (pisa 2018) for the subject: mathematics from the perspective of teachers and school leaders in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Also, it aimed to detect the difference in the responses of the research sample according to some variables. This study used a descriptive survey method with a questionnaire as the data-gathering tool. The sample consisted of (20) teachers of mathematics, and (20) school leaders representing the entire community of mathematics teachers in the test sample schools in Riyadh. The results showed that all themes of the reasons for the low results of the students of KSA in the test (PISA 2018) for the subject: mathematics was high except for the theme related to the student from the teachers' point of view was very high. There was no statistically significant difference between the averages of the responses of the study sample in determining the reasons for the low results of the students of KSA in the test (PISA 2018) according to the variables (current work, gender) in all themes and as a whole, and according to the variable of the educational qualification in the themes of: (the student, curriculum, learning environment). There was a statistically significant difference between the averages of the responses of the study sample in determining the reasons for the low results of the students of the KSA in the test (PISA 2018) according to the variable of the educational qualification in the theme of the teacher and in the overall degree of the reasons for the benefit of the sample members with master’s degrees.
