أثر استخدام بيئة تعلم افتراضية second life على تنمية الوعي السياحي الوطني لدى طالبات المرحلة الثانوية
The main intent research aimed to explore the impact of using virtual learning environment in Teaching History to increase national tourism awareness among high school students at Al-Qunfudhah region. The researcher used semi-experimental approach (control and experimental group) to achieve the aim. The teacher guide is prepared to teach one subject of History the unity of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia- the civilization depth by using a virtual learning environment. In addition, student's guideline is prepared to use virtual learning environment. Further, the national tourism awareness measure is prepared which includes two dimensions: cognitive dimension and affective dimension (40) phrases. After ensuring the validity and reliability of the scale, the study was applied on the sample of (26) student of the third grade Two groups were randomly selected, one was an experimental group consisting of (13) students who learned using the virtual learning environment, and the other control group consisted of (13) students who learned in the usual way. The results showed that there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (a≤0.05) between the average grades of female students of the two groups. The results also showed statistically significant differences at the level of indication (a≤0.05) between the average grades of female students of the control and experimental groups in the dimension application of the national tourism awareness scale in favor of the experimental group. In the light of the research results, it is recommended to use of the virtual learning environment in the teaching of social studies, especially the history curriculum, and to train the teachers how to use the virtual environment as a technological innovation in the education process.
