Education is one of the important and influencing variables in the demographic and social characteristics of the population, and education means a lot to the study of population geography, as it is one of the criteria for economic and social development in the region. The change in the education rate is an indicator of the extent of the progress achieved by the countries. Therefore, studying the pattern of education in a region helps to understand the geography of its population. Given the importance of education, it has become one of the main goals of development in all countries. This study aims to identify the educational status of the population in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the year 2010 AD, and highlight the spatial variation of the educational status of the population in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study relied mainly on the data of the general population and housing census, and a number of statistical methods were used, and it became clear from the results of the study that the educational situation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has witnessed a significant change and clear improvement during the past three decades. For example, the illiteracy rate decreased from very high levels, reaching 60% in 1394 AH to reasonable levels (10%) in 2010, and it was found that there is a disparity in the educational composition according to gender. Or the proportions of educated people of different categories and qualifications. The study resulted in a number of important recommendations. (Published abstract)
