This study aims to measure the level of self-efficacy among first year students of Science and Technology, Faculty of Applied Sciences, University of Ouargla, and also aims to know the differences in the level of self-efficacy according to gender variable and the baccalaureate department obtained by the student. The researcher used the descriptive method which is based on describing the phenomenon. The study was conducted on a sample of 128 students in the first year of Science and Technology, Faculty of Applied Sciences, University Of Ouargla. The study was based on a measurement tool, self-efficacy measure by researcher Bachir Mammaria (2012) results revealed that: 1) there is a high level of self-efficacy among students of the first year of Science and Technology University of Ouargla. 2) There are no statistically significant differences in self efficacy among students and the first-year students. 3) There are no statistically significant differences in self-efficacy among students of the first year. A common advantage is the Technology Sciences of the University of Ouargla according to the obtained baccalaureate (mathematical / experimental sciences). (Published abstract)
