The purpose of this research is to highlight the correlation between the green human resource management practices and the green core capacities of Mosul University. Green practices are the modern direction of human resources management and the main source of providing the human resources organization with highly skilled and outstanding performance towards protecting the environment. The core competence of human resources is the cornerstone for the implementation of all the environmental tasks and duties undertaken by the organization and its most important resources. The questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting research data and information. It was prepared on the basis of a number of ready-made measurements using the three-dimensional Likert scale. It was distributed to a sample of 36 employees of the Presidency of Mosul University, and to analyze the search data, use the statistical program ready (SPSS.v.24). The statistical methods produced a number of results, most notably the correlation between human resource practices and the green core competencies in the presidency of the University of Mosul. The highest impact of green human resource practices in enhancing the green core competencies was the exercise of green recruitment in the organization. Within the framework of the results, the research presented a number of proposals, the most important of which is the enhancement of the core capabilities of the CCG through examining the experiences of developed countries and making the best use of them to support the environmental orientation.
