This study attempts to highlight the problems that Arab women still face and suffer from during the late second decade of 21st century. The sample of the study consists of 48 female students who are taking a course on women and development at the University of Sharjah and have an overall idea about Arab women status and conditions. The analytical descriptive approach has been used, in addition to women and social gender theory as a theoretical framework. After analysis and categorization of all problems mentioned by the sample students, the study sorted out four main categories of social problems that Arab women suffer from. These categories are arranged as follows: masculine-fatherhood community, gender and social discrimination, violence against women, and work problems, all of which have subcategories. The findings of the study indicated that the most important solutions from the point of view of the students is increasing the social awareness of women issues, greater activation of the role of civil society and state institutions, increasing the role of law, giving greater confidence to women and their potentials, as well as choosing a supportive life partner.
