The study aimed to shed light on the concept of digital citizenship and its fields. A statement of the contemporary changes that called for attention to digital citizenship among students. Identifying the current reality of the primary school’s role in instilling the values of digital citizenship among students. Presenting a proposed vision to activate the role of the primary teacher in instilling the values of digital citizenship among students. The study discussed several questions, including what is meant by digital citizenship, its fields and its importance? What are the contemporary changes calling for attention to digital citizenship among primary school students? What is the current reality of the primary school’s role in instilling the values of digital citizenship? What is the proposed scenario for activating the role of the primary school in instilling the values of citizenship among its students? The nature of the research imposed on the researcher to use the descriptive analytical method to identify the concept of digital citizenship, its elements and importance, and to determine the reasons for its importance for today's students. More than ever, as well as to identify the reality of the primary school’s role in instilling the values of digital citizenship among students, so that it can come up with a proposed vision for improvement and development of the primary school’s role in instilling digital citizenship among its students. Digital citizenship for primary school students. Society has recently been going through many rapid and successive changes such as: the knowledge and information revolution, the amazing scientific and technological progress, the democratic revolution, in addition to the communication revolution, the digital revolution and the media, and all of this led to the emergence of the phenomenon of globalization that turned the world into a small village, and there is no longer there any borders or breaks between countries and this is in addition to the spread of the scientific method, the development of educational theories and the growing awareness of human rights. These modern developments have resulted in strategies calling for the importance of instilling the values of digital citizenship in the hearts of students, eliminating problems related to social networking sites and the growing digital revolution, and providing students with information and positive knowledge of the information revolution. Therefore, the school has to instill the values of digital citizenship in students, and that the school plays a crucial role in facing the problems and challenges facing the community and its members, most notably the digital invasion and penetrating in all aspects of life.
