قيم العمل السائدة لدى الموظفين الإداريين في مديريات التربية والتعليم بمحافظة إربد
This study aimed to identify the prevailing work values among the administrative staff at Irbid educational directorates. The researcher followed descriptive approach; the study sample consisted of (155) administrative employees. The study used a questionnaire consisting of (28) items distributed over four domains of work values which is: (mastery and knowledge values, commitment and affiliation values, a cooperation values, and professional ethics values). The results of the study showed that the level of work values among administrative staff in educational directorates at Irbid was "high", and all the domains of work values were at a "high level", so the domain of (mastery and knowledge values) ranked in first among the domains of work values with an average (3.89), followed it the domain (commitment and affiliation values) with an average of (3.79), then the domain (professional ethics values) with an average of (3.73), and finally the domain (a cooperation values) with an average of (3.70), and the total arithmetic mean of the all domains of work values was (3.78), with a high level. In light of these results, the researcher recommended the necessity of continuing to define the technical and administrative foundations and standards when selecting education directors who have a value system that matches the prevailing work values in educational and administrative work, and to grant administrative staff additional powers, in order to enhance their role in the directorates of education.
