This study is titled “Methods of family upbringing and its relationship to violence in the Algerian school”, in an attempt to uncover the link between the methods of family upbringing and violent behavior practiced by pupils in schools based on a general question: Does the methods of family upbringing contribute to the violent behaviors practiced by the student inside the Algerian school?. This study aimed to: 1) Know the relationship between the methods of family upbringing and school violence. 2) Exposing the extent of the contribution of democracy to addressing violent behaviors practiced by students in school. 3) Knowing to what extent the dictatorship style contributes to violent behavior. 4) Learn how the Idleness technique contributes to violent behaviors. 5) Knowing the types of violent behaviors practiced by students in their schools. The importance of research in this study is due to the great importance of its topic, for upbringing in general occupies a place and great importance in society, especially family upbringing, for the family is the first educational institution in society, and it is considered the primary structure for it and the main pillar on which it is based, which takes care of its children and works on their upbringing and normalization. Socially, through what is known as social upbringing, it is the school in which the child learns from his birth a set of values, trends and behaviors that in turn contribute to the process of social interaction, through his contact with members of his family, especially parents, given the care and attention they do to children, and the child is affected With what the parents receive from the family upbringing, whether this upbringing is normal or not, and the danger lies in the parents' ignorance of basic information and the best method for dealing with him, which affects their attitudes and practices practiced in raising the child, which may impede the natural path of his development. This formation has a great impact on the child. , Which causes him to have behavioral repercussions, so the child expresses them in the form of violent behaviors that he discharges in the school as it is the second institution that he learns. Where the child after the family. The research sample for this study consisted of 84 students with 10% of the total percentage of 100% of the total number of students. In this study, the descriptive approach and the form and interview tools were used. The results of this study are: 1) There is a relationship between the methods of family upbringing and school violence. 2) The family's upbringing style of democracy contributes to addressing it and reducing the violent behaviors practiced by the student within the school. 3) That the dictatorship method adopted by the family in upbringing contributes to the violent behaviors practiced by the student inside the school. 4) That the Idleness method adopted by the family in upbringing contributes to the violent behaviors practiced by the student inside the school.
