القيم التربوية التي ينبغي تضمينها في كتب الرياضيات المدرسية في مراحل التعليم العام بدولة الكويت
The purpose of this study was to identifying the educational values that’s needed to be implemented in mathematics textbooks (1-12) grades in Kuwaiti schools, from mathematics teachers’ views in these schools. To achieve the purpose of the study, the researcher developed a questionnaire contained 45 educational values distributed to six domains (ethical, aesthetic and entertainment, environmental, national, social, and economic) values. The reliability and validity of the study tool were established and ensured. The sample of the study consisted of 196 mathematics teachers. The results of the study showed the following: 1) a list of (45) educational values were identified. 2) All mathematics teachers emphasized the importance of all educational values, and to be implemented in mathematics textbooks (1-12) grades. 3) No significant differences were found the educational values between the arithmetic means of mathematics teachers with regard to teachers experiences in teaching mathematics. 4) Significant differences have found in the educational ethics values between mathematics teachers in elementary and secondary school. In the light of these results, a number of recommendations and suggestions were introduced to develop mathematics textbooks (1-12) grades in Kuwaiti schools. (Published abstract)
