The study aimed to identify the relationship between the sources of academic stress and the plagiarism among graduate students at Kuwait University, by identifying the sources of personal and academic sources, the side effects of academic stress, the forms of plagiarism, and the reasons behind plagiarism. The descriptive survey method was followed to achieve the purposes of the study. The questionnaire was applied to 342 students at the Graduate School of Kuwait University who were selected using stratified random sampling from all programs of the Graduate School of Kuwait University. The results of the study showed: 1) the means of the graduate student responses were high for all domains of the study accept the one related to the side effects of academic stress that was moderate; 2) there were no statistically significant differences between the responses of the study sample members related to all domains of the study due to sex and sabbatical leave variables; 3) there were statistically significant differences related to the reasons behind plagiarism due to the nationality and in favor of Kuwaiti students; 4) there were statistically significant differences related to academic sources of stress due to academic graduate program variable in favor of doctoral students; 5) there were statistically significant differences related to personal sources of academic stress due to number of children variable in favor of those married students but with no children; 6) there were statistically significant differences related to all sources of academic stress due to the age variable in favor of 25 years old, as well as due to the current job status variable in favor of students who work as full-time and who are free lancers entrepreneurs; 7) there were statistically significant differences related to personal sources of academic stress and the forms of plagiarism due to cumulative grade average GPA in favor of students higher than 3.5 of 4 point- scale; 8) there were statistically significant differences related to the forms of plagiarism due to college in favor of scientific colleges; 9) there were statistically significant differences related to personal sources of academic stress due to the students social status in favor of unmarried graduate students; 10) there were a positive, weak, and statistically significant correlation between the personal sources of academic stress and the side effects of plagiarism; 11) there were a positive, weak, and statistically significant correlation between only the personal sources of academic stress and the forms of plagiarism; 12) there were a positive, weak, and statistically significant correlation between the side effects of academic stress and the forms of plagiarism; 13) the reasons behind plagiarism explained 18% of the different forms of plagiarism. In the light of the study's findings, the necessary recommendations and proposals and future studies were suggested. (Author’s abstract)
