The study aimed to know the including the twenty-first century skills in the content of the ninth-grade basic chemistry textbook in Jordan, and to achieve the goal of this study, the descriptive approach represented by the content-analysis method for analyzing the ninth-grade chemistry textbook. The study sample consisted of the study population, so all subjects were included in the content of the ninth-grade chemistry textbook. The study tool, which was the list of proposed twenty-first century skills included in the books and development of chemistry, was changed and consisted of (12) indicators distributed in three main areas of skills: education, innovation, digital culture, profession and life. Through the skills of education, innovation and digital culture, which came in the first place with an average degree of inclusion, and the profession and life came in the last place with a medium degree of inclusion, and in light of these results the study recommended a set of recommendations, the most important of which is to review the content of the chemistry book for the ninth grade and develop it in light of the skills of the 21st century.
