The study aimed to know the role of using the brainstorming strategy in developing the creative writing skills of primary school students in Jordan from the viewpoint of Arabic language teachers. The study members consisted of (50) teachers, who taught Arabic in the schools of the Education Directorate of the Northwestern Badia District. The researcher used the descriptive method in her study. The researcher prepared a questionnaire consisting of (26) items, and the questionnaire was divided into four areas, according to the main skills of creative writing: fluency, originality, flexibility, and extension (expansion). The study reached several conclusions, including: The role of using brainstorming in developing creative writing skills was high, and it was also found that there are no statistically significant differences due to the impact of scientific qualification in all fields, and there are no statistically significant differences due to the impact of experience except for flexibility skills and elaboration skills. The study recommended a number of related recommendations, including: the Arabic Language Teacher’s Guide for modern models of teaching strategies and how to employ them in developing various language skills. And conducting other studies in identifying the role of modern strategies in studying the Arabic language and others in developing various skills from the viewpoint of teachers, students and educational supervisors.
