This study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of proposed admission systems for faculties of medicine and dentistry in Jordanian universities. The researcher used a random cluster stratified sample from the three regions of Jordan (north, middle, and south). The sample consisted of graduates’ students of the faculty of medicine and dentistry in Jordanian universities of the academic years 2014/2015, 2015/2016, 2016/2017 who were accepted according to the general secondary examination average numbering about 1632 male and female students, of which 610 from the University of Jordan, 814 from Jordan University of Science and Technology and 208 from Mutah University. Data related to individuals of the study sample were obtained (general secondary examination average, the total of scientific subjects in the general secondary examination, the total of biology and chemistry the general secondary examination, the average of preparatory year, the specialization average, and the cumulative average) from records of the university they are enrolled in, from the admission and registration unit and from the management of exams and test in the ministry of education. The researcher used the analytical method through studying the relationships and the regression analysis to answer the study questions. The results indicated that the general secondary examination average has a good predictive ability to predict the preparatory year, and that the preparatory year has a high predictive ability to predict the specialization average and the cumulative average and if the general orientation of adopting an admission system depends on the general secondary examination average and the total of scientific subjects in the general secondary, the percentage allocated to the general secondary is 60% and the total of scientific subjects is 40%. And if the general orientation of adopting an admission system depends on the general secondary examination average and the preparatory year average, the percentage allocated to the preparatory year is 85% and the general secondary examination average is 15%.
