The study aimed at identifying the opinions of the members of the faculty of Saudi universities in the privatization of university education. The sample of the study was 587 members of the academic staff, who were randomly selected. To answer the study questions, the researcher developed a questionnaire consisting of (33) items which is divided into four axes: the motives of privatization of university education, the disadvantages of privatizing university education, the advantages of privatizing university education, and the proposed solutions to problems of privatization. The study found the following results: the mathematical averages of the opinions of faculty members showed that there are a number of motives for the privatization process, the most important of which are in descending order: diversity and renewal in university education programs, increasing interaction between universities and the local community، the results showed that there are several advantages to the process of privatization in descending order: coverage of new specializations and the student's desire to choose the specialization that suits him and a vital factor in activating the economic field and attract investment. The results showed that the most prominent solutions to the problems of privatization are summarized in the following descending order: supervision by the ministry of education on these institutions and their monitoring, compliance with the conditions of the academic accreditation body, setting limits for tuition fees by the Ministry of Education and maintaining the stability of academic and administrative cadres.
