The study aimed to suggest a conception for the evaluation of the performance of the faculty members at Qassim University from their point of view in the light of the experiences of some local and international universities. The sample of the study consisted of 56 members of the Faculty of Education, Qassim University in the second semester of the academic year 1437/1438 AH, the researcher studied the experiences of some local and international universities in evaluating the performance of the faculty member. In order to make a proposal of the mechanisms to the evaluation process from the point of view of the faculty members, the researcher constructed a questionnaire consisting of 41 item distributed in five areas: (ethical aspects and personal traits, teaching performance, research activities and professional development, administrative activities, community service). The veracity of the questionnaire was verified by means of internal consistency. In addition, the stability of the resolution levels and their sub-axes was verified using the alpha-Cronbach stability coefficient. The researcher used frequencies, percent, mean, and standard deviation to analyze the results to showed that the degree of approval of the faculty member at the Faculty of Education in Qassim University to questionnaire's statements. In relation to the items of self-assessment and evaluation of the students and the head of the department and the faculty's deanship for faculty members are high from their point of view in general. The highest evaluation of the performance level was in the case of evaluation of the head of the department for the performance of the faculty member and then the self-assessment of the faculty member then the evaluation of the student to the faculty member, and the latest one was evaluation of the management of the faculty member of the faculty. The study has reached a suggested conception to assess the performance of the faculty member can use in Saudi universities. (Published abstract)
