This study aimed to identify the obstacles to the application of quality assurance standards in Jerash Private University from the viewpoint of faculty members, in addition to identify the differences statistically significant depending on the study variables (gender, academic rank, college). The study sample consisted of (146) faculty members of the Jerash Private University in the first semester of the academic year 2014 / 2015. A questionnaire consisting of (30) items was used to achieve the objectives of the study. The results of the study showed that the most prominent obstacles to the application of quality assurance standards is the presence of ambiguity about the application of quality assurance standards mechanisms, the political, religious or social obstacles) were the least obstacles that the university is exposed to in decision making. The results did not show a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (a=0.05) according to the obstacles of the application of quality assurance standards depending on the variables of the study. The study recommended the necessity to hold training courses to increase the awareness and the knowledge of the faculty members of mechanisms and how to apply quality assurance standards.
