ممارسات القيادة الاستراتيجية وأثرها على إدارة التميز : دراسة ميدانية على الجامعات الفلسطينية بالمحافظات الجنوبية



This study aims to identify the strategic leadership practices and its impact on the management of Institutional Excellence in the Palestinian universities in the southern Governorates - Gaza Strip. The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach with a census to collect data from the academic leaders in the main Palestinian universities in the southern Governorates - Gaza Strip whose number is (248) employees. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was designed as a research method. (226) responses were retrieved, the recovery rate was 91.1%. The SPSS program was used to process the data and to test hypotheses. The most important findings of the study: There is a high degree of approval of the factors strategic leadership practices of academic leaders in the Palestinian universities in the southern Governorates Gaza Strip with relative weight of (74.3%). There is a high degree of approval on the field of the management of institutional excellence in the Palestinian universities in the southern Governorates - Gaza Strip with relative weight of (69%). There is a statistically significant relationship between factors of strategic leadership practices and the management institutional excellence in the Palestinian universities in Gaza Strip with a correlation coefficient of (0.502*). There is a statistically significant impact between factors of strategic leadership practices and management of the institutional excellence in the Palestinian universities in Gaza Strip with a correlation coefficient of (0.706*). There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of answers on approval of the strategic leadership practices in the Palestinian universities in the southern Governorates - Gaza Strip due to the following demographic variables (gender, age, service, scientific qualification, workplace), and the existence of statistically significant differences due to the following demographic variables (job title). There are no statistically significant differences between the mean of answers on the management of institutional excellence in the Palestinian universities in the southern Governorates - Gaza Strip due to the following demographic variables (age, service, workplace) and the existence of statistically significant differences due to the following demographic variables (gender, job title, scientific qualification). The study recommends that, the educational institutions should be encouraged to establish excellence by instilling standards of excellence in daily administrative, technical and financial procedures at all strategic and operational levels so that these standards become rooted in the institutional structure. This is in addition to giving more importance to strategic leadership role and practices in educational institutions for its impact in achieving the excellence management in the Palestinian universities in the southern Governorates - Gaza Strip.
