This study aimed to determine the values required of Islamic education for grades nine and ten in the Sultanate of Oman, and the degree of involvement in these books. To achieve this goal, the researcher built a list of values for the textbooks in both grades. To ensure the degree of involvement of the value in the Islamic education textbooks, the researcher transferred the list of values to a Content Analysis form. To investigate the stability the researcher sought assistance of other analysts to analyze a sample of topics of the textbooks. The average between the three analysts was (86%). Then the researcher analyzed all the topics in Islamic education textbooks. The most prominent results of the study were: 1) a list of values for the textbooks of Islamic education for grades nine and ten consisted of (56) values distributed over the five areas, and a list of other values for the textbooks of Islamic education for grades ten consisted of (59) values distributed over the same areas. 2) in the light of the general averages of the values of the five areas, the vast majority of the values are contained in the textbooks. 3) There were no statistically significant differences at level of (α= 0.05) in the degree of involvement of the required values between both grad nine and ten Islamic education textbooks in all areas except ethics area in for grade nine textbooks.
