The current study aims at investigating the effect of evidence approach on acquiring morphological concepts among the students of the colleges of basic education. To achieve the goal of the study, the researcher formulated the following zero hypothesis. There is no statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the average scores of students of the experimental group who are studying morphology subject according to the evidence method, and the average scores of students of the control group who study exchange in the traditional way in the acquisition test. To achieve the goal of the research, the researcher chose the Arabic Language Department at the College of Basic Education - Diyala University in an intentional way to represent the research sample. Section (A) was chosen to represent the experimental group who studied the morphology subject according to the evidence method, by (40) male and female students. Division B represented the control group who traditionally studied the morphology subject, at the rate of (40) male and female students. The research sample reached (80) male and female students. The researcher adopted the experimental method to apply the experiment. The teaching plans were prepared according to the evidence approach of the experimental group and in the traditional way of the control group. The researcher prepared an acquisition test to measure the students ’acquisition of morphological concepts consisting of (39) multiple-choice test items. Suitable statistical methods were used to extract the results of the research from them (T-test for two independent samples, Pearson correlation coefficient, Spearman-Brown equation, difficulty coefficient, discriminatory force equation, equation of efficacy of wrong alternatives, percentage). After analyzing the data statistically, the results resulted in the superiority of the experimental group students who study morphological concepts according to the evidence approach, over the control group students who study morphological concepts in the traditional way in the acquisition test. In light of the results of the research, the researcher recommended the necessity of teaching drainage at the university level with modern teaching methods. (Published abstract)
