The purpose of this study was identifying personality characteristics that distinguish the administrative leaders in Kuwait, besides exploring the significant differences in personality characteristics that distinguish the administrative leaders in Kuwait according to the (gender, education level, experiences), the revised Jackson personality inventory was used to measure the personality traits among leaders which include (Complexity, Breadth of interest, Innovation, Tolerance, Empathy, Anxiety, Cooperativeness, Sociability, Social Confidence, Energy Level, Social Astuteness, Risk Taking, Organization, Traditional Values, Responsibility). An available sample was selected include 145 leaders from Kuwait (99 males, 46 female) working in the public sector (68.3% males, 31.7% females). The results shown that the highest five traits among the Kuwait leaders were (traditional values, responsibilities, Innovation, organization, Social Confidence). The means of males were higher in the (breadth of interest, sociability, and risk taking), whereas, the females were higher in (Tolerance, and Anxiety). The results indicate to the importance of the personality traits. The researcher recommends to the need to develop guidelines and conditions for the selection of administrative leadership foundations objectively and not personal interest mainly scientific and practical experience when upgrading leaders. And the need for a higher committee shall meet candidates for leadership positions, to determine personality traits and inclinations, abilities and knowledge and skills that they own before accepting the nomination for the post.
