تطوير برنامج تدريبي في قراءة وكتابة رموز بريل باللغة الإنجليزية لدى الطلبة ذوي الإعاقة البصرية من الصف السابع وحتى الصف العاشر وقياس فاعليته
This study aimed to develop a training program in reading and writing Braille symbols in English among students with visual disabilities from seventh grade until the tenth grade and measure its effectiveness and identify its impact. The study was conducted at the mix high school for the blind in Abdoun. 60 students (males and females) from the seventh grade until the tenth grade participated in this study. The sample was divided randomly into two groups, experimental and control. In order to achieve the goal of the study, the researcher prepared a scale to measure students’ abilities in reading and writing English Braille symbols. The scale was applied before and after the implementation of the program. The training Program was applied during the first semester of the academic year 2011-2012. Means and standard deviations were calculated for both groups. MANOVA was used as the main analysis in the study. Results show statistically significant differences for both domains: reading, and writing, and on the scale as a whole. Differences were also found among the experimental and the control group on the post test in favor of the experimental group. Results also indicate no statistically significant differences between blind and visually impaired students in the experimental group on both domains: reading, and writing, and on the scale as a whole.
