The study aimed at proposing educational principles for academic freedom at universities level in the Kingdom Saudi Arabia. The population of the study consisted of faculty member in northern universities in the Kingdom Saudi Arabia (Tbouk, Aljouf, Northern Border) while the sample consisted of (296) members were chosen according to statistical tables. In order to achieve the study, goal a questionnaire was developed as a study tool, the questionnaires were distributed after verifying its validity and reliability. The data was analyzed by using (SPSS) after collecting it, by calculating faculty member estimates to the reality of the level of practicing academic freedom at universities level in the Kingdom Saudi Arabia. The study showed that the reality of academic have medium level. Moreover, the study showed that there are no statistical differences between faculty member estimates to the reality of the level of practicing academic freedom at universities level due to experience, academic rank. In addition to, there are statistical differences between faculty member estimates to the reality of the level of practicing academic freedom at universities level due to gender in favor of female. The researcher proposed educational principles for the following areas: expressing the opinion in the decision-making area, studying content and teaching styles, research and publish area, and volunteering works and civil services area.
