The present study aimed to identify the levels of burnout among faculty members at the University of Jordan, and to identify the relationship between the levels and sources of burnout and some demographic variables (gender, age, marital status, academic rank, college, income level, and the number of years of service) and it's aimed also to identify the relationship between burnout and self-concept. The study sample consisted of (183, 123 males and 60 females), who work at the University of Jordan during the second semester of the year (2013-2014). Maslach burnout scale and Tennessee self-concept scale were used to test the hypotheses of this study. The results show that a high level of burnout among faculty members at the University of Jordan. Results also indicate that are no correlation statistically significant at the level of (0.05 ≥ α) between self-concept and burnout, in all dimension (stress emotional, dulling feelings, lack of a sense of accomplishment).
