This study aims to find out the effect of the interaction between the collaboration pattern (individual - group) and the cognitive approach (independent/ dependent) on the cognitive field in the flipped classroom environment on improving grade 9 basic education students’ academic achievement in IT subject and the satisfaction towards this subject in the Sultanate of Oman. The researcher used the Developmental Research method to achieve the results. The study consists of (115) female students of grade 9 basic education in the Sultanate of Oman, and they were divided into eight experimental groups. The following tools were used: The Achievement Test to measure the achievement of the grade 9 students, the Satisfaction Measurement Scale to measure the satisfaction of the students towards IT subject, and the Embedded Figures Test to classify the (independent/ dependent) students on the cognitive field. The results of the research reached the following: There was an influence on the interaction between the collaboration pattern (individual (student/ teacher- student/ student)/group (students/ teacher - students together)) and the cognitive approach (independence/ dependence on cognitive field) in the flipped classroom environment in academic achievement. While there was no influence on the collaboration pattern (individual/ group) alone in academic achievement, and There was no influence on the cognitive approach (independence/ dependence on cognitive field) alone in academic achievement. As for the Satisfaction Measurement Scale, there was no There was no impact on the interaction between the collaboration pattern (individual (student/ teacher- student/ student)/ group (students/ teacher - students together)) and the cognitive approach (independent/ dependent on the cognitive field) in the flipped classroom environment towards IT subject. A list of recommendations and proposals were presented for subsequent research, and a project plan was also presented to benefit from the research results. (Author’s abstract)
