The aim of this study is to find out the effect of using a program proposed according to generative learning strategy on learning the technical performance of the butterfly swimming. The researchers employed an experimental design, the collected data were treated by using mean scores, standard deviation, and t-test for both corresponding and independent samples. The findings of the study lead to the following conclusions: 1) The proposed program has an efficient positive effect on learning butterfly swimming. 2) There are significant differences between the experimental and control groups in the pre-test and post-test in favor of the experimental group. The researchers recommended: 1) using the proposed program in teaching swimming in general. 2) Adopting generative learning strategy in teaching butterfly swimming since it helps to avoid mistakes and build an ideal motor behavior economically in terms of time and effort. 3) Using the assisting tools employed in the proposed program with some other water activities due to their efficiency in achieving aims.
