أثر زراعة القوقعة في تحسين صورة الجسم عند الطفل الأصم وتمدرسه في الأقسام العادية
The present study aims to highlight the effect of cochlear implantation on the improvement of the body image of the deaf child and its contribution to facilitate his schooling in normal classes. For the data collection, we used observation and clinical interview, as well as the body image scale of Muhammad Ali Al-Nubi (2010) in three cases (2 girls and a boy), educated at cycle of medium education and whose age varies between [12 and 13] years, and having been subjected to a cochlear implantation while benefiting from speech therapy. The results showed that there was a positive body image in the three cases, although there was some variation in the scores obtained in its four dimensions. Cochlear implantation also allowed these children to continue their studies with their peers in “ordinary” schools. (Published abstract)
