The aim of this study was to find out the criteria for selecting faculty members at Kuwait University. The study followed the descriptive approach. The sample of the study was chosen by random stratification of the study population. The sample was selected (about 20%) of the study population. The sample of the study was 309. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was constructed to measure the current criteria for the selection of faculty members at the University of Kuwait from the viewpoint of academic leaders and faculty members, consisting of (54) paragraphs and distributed in six fields. The validity and consistency of the study instrument was verified. The results showed that the members of the study of the current standards at Kuwait University for the selection of faculty members were average. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the assessment of the current standards of Kuwait University for the selection of faculty members due to the nature of work, gender.
