This study aimed at identifying cognitive style (tolerance-intolerance for ambiguity) and its relation to some personality traits within high school students in Al-Karak region. The study sample consisted of (285) students during the academic year (2018/2019), from the scientific and literary branch. To achieve the objectives of the study two measures were used: a Personality Traits Scale and (Tolerance- Intolerance for Ambiguity) Scale were used to collect the needed data. The reliability and validity for these scales has been verified. The study ended with some results. First: there are statistical significant differences in Cognitive Style (Tolerance-Intolerance for Ambiguity) in Personality Traits (Ascendancy, Responsibility, Emotional Stability) in favor of Cognitive Style-Tolerance for ambiguity and in Personality Trait (Sociability) in favor of Cognitive Style-Intolerance for ambiguity, Second: there are statistical significant differences in Cognitive Style (Tolerance-Intolerance for Ambiguity) in favor of Academic Specialization, Third: there are no statistical significant differences in Cognitive Style (Tolerance-Intolerance for Ambiguity) in favor of Gender.
