The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of a counseling program in reducing social anxiety among secondary school female students in Kuwait. In this quasi-experimental study, a nonequivalent (Pretest and Posttest) control-group design was employed. The sample consisted of (31) female students diagnosed with SA. The sample was divided into two groups, without random assignment. The control group consisted of (15) female students while the experimental group consisted of (16) female students. Pre and posttest were applied to both groups using the two scales. The counseling program consisted of (11) sessions completed in five weeks. Results showed significant differences between the two groups in SA in the posttest. In addition, results indicated significantly lower mean social anxiety scores for the experimental group after completing the program. The Study concluded that REBT was effective in reducing SA among secondary school female students (Published Abstract)
