أثر استخدام استراتيجية التلمذة المعرفية على تنمية مهارات التفكير الرياضي لدى طلاب السنة التحضيرية في جامعة تبوك
This study aimed at investigating the effect of using cognitive apprenticeship in teaching “Introduction to Limits” on the students’ performance on mathematical thinking, and testing the relations between students’ mathematical thinking and students’ grade on the general aptitude test; the quantitative part. In order to achieve the study goals, the researcher prepare the guide for teachers to teach the limit through cognitive apprenticeship, and used the mathematical thinking test as a tool which was created by (Awadah, 2016). A sample of the study consisted of 85 students from preparatory year at University of Tabuk. Researchers used a quasi -experimental design to implement the study through two groups: treatment group (n=43) which was taught using the cognitive apprenticeship while the control group (n=43) taught without using the cognitive apprenticeship . Results reveals at finding differences on students performance for the mathematical thinking: (abstract thinking, critical thinking, creative thinking), favoring the treatment group, while there was no difrences for the deductive thinking, moreover, there was an intermediate correlation between the students’ performance on mathematical thinking and the students’ performance on the aptitude test.
