The study aims at specifying the level of students at faculty of education at contemplative thinking and analytical reading, and establishing the relationship between them. The Sample consisted of 300 hundred teacher trainees from the University of Princess Nourah Bint Abdurrahman at Riyadh, Department Syllabus Design, Early childhood Section. A contemplative thinking scale has been designed, a list of analytical reading skills, a level estimation tests have also been constructed. Test results have been analyzed and study tools have been applied in the second semester of the Academic year 1437. After analyzing the results, the phrases subsumed under contemplative thinking like routine work, thinking based work, contemplation, deep contemplation, to all this the response was "often". The score ranged between average and low regarding performance of Students at Proficient analytical reading. Performance average in meaning analysis was (40.89); Idea analysis average was (53.89). Relationship analysis average scored (45.48). Results of the study also showed that the relationship between the participants of the sample in both measurement of contemplative thinking and analytical reading test was nil or negligible. The study recommended that more attention should be paid to contemplative thinking and analytical reading. This can be achieved through teaching plans and training programs for teaching staff at universities. (Published Abstract)
