فاعلية برنامج تدريبي مقترح في تنمية بعض المهارات المعرفية والاستقلالية الذاتية لدى الأطفال التوحديين : دراسة شبه تجريبية في محافظة دمشق

The recent research aims to show the effectivity of a suggestion training program in developing some cognitive skills which represented in: attention, imitation, sensory-motor perception, thinking, discrimination, and classification. And some self independence skills which represented in: eating, personal and general hygiene, array, clothes wearing, self- introducing and protecting, mobility, and dealing with money for autistic children (ages 4-6) years. The research sample consists from 12 autistic children, who are register in Autism center in the Syrian organization for the disabled AAMAL in Damascus city, 2012. The sample been divined to tow equivalent groups, experimental and control, and each one have 6 children. The research tools which used were: a cognitive skills rating scale for the autistic children (prepared by the researcher), and a self - independence skills rating scale for the autistic children (prepared by the researcher), in additional to the training program which prepared by the researcher. The necessary psychometric indicators for validity and stability were statistically tested. The research result showed that the suggestion training program was significantly effective in developing some cognitive skills and self independence skills for the targeted sample of autistic children, and the follow up study after two months after the program finished showed that there is also constant in the enhancement of the cognitive and self independence skills. Also, the results indicated that there is a strong correlation relationship between the scores of sample of autistic children on the scale cognitive skills and the scale of self independence scale.
