The current research aims to identify the level of mental health among young university, and find out thinking styles and values they have, also aims to study the relationship between the degree of mental health and all of the variables of thinking styles and values system among a sample of university students, and then study the differences in mental health, and thinking styles, and the values system in a sample of university students according to the variables of gender and study year, and to identify methods to predict the possibility of thinking styles and values of the level of mental health. The research depend on the descriptive analytical method, and included tools: the Syrian Symptom chick list (Dr. Samer.Rudwan), and Thinking styles chick list (short copy: Sternberg and Wagner 1992), and Test values for Allport Vernon Lindsay. Included research community all undergraduates at the college of Education, college of Medical, college of Architecture, and college of Art in Damascus University, It was pulling a random sample of all students of the fifth year of the department of psychological counseling, and fourth-year students from the Department of classroom teacher, and students of the fifth year of Medicine, and fourth-year students architecture, and first-year students from the departments of Arabic, English and French, where the number of members of the sample of 800 students and any student 10% of the total students of the past that have been applied by the research tools, reaching this total 7898. And by using appropriate statistical methods the most important results were: 1) Prevailing thinking styles among young university are respectively: the External, legislative, liberal, Executive, internal, judicial, local, global, chaotic, Royal, hierarchical, minorities, conservative. 2) Prevailing values among young university: social values, aesthetic values, the theoretical values, economic values, spiritual values, political values. 3) I’ve been thinking styles that tells us the level of mental health is the (legislative, executive, external, global, chaotic, judicial, local, monarchy, hierarchy), as were the values that tells us is the level of mental health (social, economic, political). 4) The existence of a relationship statistically significant and inverse between each of mental health and thinking styles among the sample of university youth. 5) The existence of a relationship statistically significant and inverse between each of mental health and values system among the sample of university youth. 6) There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of young university (sample) in mental health, thinking styles and values system depending on the variable of gender (male, female). 7) There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of young university (sample) in mental health, in four styles of thinking styles and in two values of values system depending on the variable of study year (first year, fourth & fifth year). And the main recommendations of the research include: 1) Execution Further studies on the relationship between the variables of research dealt with other samples. 2) Teaching methods of thinking, allowing the individual to learn more ways of thinking. 3) The development of social values, and aesthetic taste as to create a balance with economic and political values, with an emphasis on the importance of showing the great spiritual meaning of religious values. 4) Synergy between universities and associations in the community, to address the problems of young people as best they can.
