The study aimed at identifying the degree of the principals' practice of effective communication skills and their relation to the level of school discipline among the students of Mafraq governorate, and the knowledge about the impact of gender variables, scientific qualification, specialization in postgraduate studies and years of management experience. The researcher used a questionnaire that was applied in the second semester (2018-2019). It consisted of (70) paragraphs, and the appropriate statistical methods were used to analyze the information. The results of the study indicate that the degree of practicing principals of secondary schools in Mafraq governorate for effective communication skills from their point of view, and that the degree of practicing principals of secondary schools in Mafraq governorate for school discipline from their point of view was at an "average" Secondary school principals in the governorate of Mafraq for effective communication skills, according to gender variable. The differences were in favor of males. There are no statistically significant differences in the degree of practice of secondary school principals in Mafraq Governorate for effective communication skills, In addition, there was a difference in the studies and experience in management in all areas of the questionnaire and the tool as a whole, and there were statistically significant differences in the degree of practice of secondary school principals in Mafraq governorate for school discipline according to the gender variable, the scientific qualification and specialization in studies in all fields of questionnaire and tool as a whole. Activating the role of school activities, activating participation in all committees and student clubs, and providing training programs for school principals, principals, teachers and teachers regarding the skills of effective communication and the need to apply it on the ground.
