The study aimed at identifying the level of awareness and practicing the principles of constructivist learning philosophy among the biology teachers in Saladin educational directorate. To achieve the objectives of the study, a descriptive analytical methodology was used and a questionnaire consisted of (47) items was developed. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were verified. It was administered on a sample of (150) male and female biology teachers from Saladin educational directorate in Iraq. The study findings showed a high level of awareness and practicing the principles of constructivist learning philosophy. It also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at (α= 0.05) between the sample estimations level of their awareness and practicing the constructivist learning philosophy principles due to their gender. In light of the study results, a number of recommendations were offered. (Author’s abstract)
