مستوى إدارة الغضب لدى القيادات الأكاديمية في جامعة الكويت وعلاقتها بسلبيات اتخاذ القرار
The study aimed to identify the level of anger management and the level of negative decision-making among the academic leaders at Kuwait University from the point of view of the faculty members, and the differences between the responses of the sample members towards the level of anger management and the level of negative decision-making among the academic leaders at Kuwait University due to (gender, academic position, and years of experience), as well as the extent to which there is a correlation between the level of anger management among the academic leaders and the negative decision-making from the point of view of faculty members. To achieve the aims of the study, the researcher used descriptive method, depending on the questionnaire to collect data from the sample of the study. The study population composed of all faculty members at Kuwait University. The study sample consisted of (335) faculty members at Kuwait University who were selected randomly. The study reached that the level of anger management among academic leaders at Kuwait University showed a high degree, and that the level of negative decision-making among the academic leaders at Kuwait University showed a low degree. The results showed a statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤0.05) of the responses of the sample of the study towards the level of anger management among the academic leaders at Kuwait University due to the variables (gender, academic position, and years of experience). The results also showed a statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) in the level of the negative decision-making due to the gender variable, and the lack of differences depending on the variables (grade level and years of experience). The results also showed a negative correlation between the level of anger management among the academic leaders at Kuwait University and the negative decision-making from the point of view of the faculty members. Based on the results of the study, the researcher recommended organizing training courses and workshops for faculty members and academic leaders on the subject of anger management, and its disadvantages to the decision-making process, in addition to increasing the capacity and expertise of faculty members to participate actively in the decision-making process.
