The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of teaching using cloud computing on second level high school students’ academic achievement in the computer science and information technology curriculum. The study has adopted a quasi-experimental approach, and was applied on a convenience sample of students from Musa Bin Nosair Secondary School at Abu Arish province. The sample consisted of 60 students, 30 of which in the experimental group that employed cloud computing, and 30 students in the control group which employed the traditional method of teaching computer applications. The study concluded with the following finding: There were statistically significant differences between average achievement scores in the computer course between the experimental group and the control group, in favor of the experimental group, at the recall, comprehension, application, and analysis levels of Bloom's Taxonomy. The study recommended the need to enhance computer science teaching with cloud computing applications and to train computer teachers on their use. (Published Abstract)
