قدرة معايير القبول الجامعي على التنبؤ بالمعدل التراكمي لطلبة جامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية
The present study aimed at investigating the predictability of the General Secondary Average (GSA), achievement test and General Ability Test (GAT) with University Grade Average (GPA). The study sample consisted of 3527 male and female students. To answer the study questions, multiple regression analysis and Pearson's correlation coefficient were used. The study results showed that achievement test was more prediction than the GSA and GAT of the whole study sample and for Natural & Human colleges, with relative contribution 23%, 12.5% &30% for the whole GPA variance respectively. The study results also showed that GSA was more prediction than achievement test and GAT of religious colleges, with relative contribution 24% for the whole GPA variance .It was concluded that GAT completely failed to predict student GPA of the whole study sample and its sub-groups. Also the results showed that Achievement test was more prediction than the GSA and GAT of the of the male sample, with relative contribution 9%, and GSA was more prediction of the female sample, with relative contribution 24%.
