Study aims to investigate the effectiveness of suggested proposal based on instructional games in developing linguistic patterns of basic third grade students in Gaza. The researcher uses tools include a suggested proposal based on educational games, a content analysis of linguistic patterns objectives of the third class schoolbook: (Our Beautiful Language-Part1), linguistic patterns test, and teacher's handbook. The sample of study consisted of (86) basic third grade students selected purposively from Hamad Ben Khalifa Al Tani Elementary School for Boys. The researcher adopted the experimental approach including two-group design. The first one is an experimental group that studied the linguistic patterns using a suggested proposal based on educational games consisting of (43) students. The second one is a control group consisting of (43) students who studied the same patterns using a traditional method. The results of the study aims there are statistically significant differences at significance level (α=0.0.1) between the mean scores of experimental group students who studied the linguistic patterns using a suggested proposal based on educational games and the means scores of control group students who studied the same patterns using a traditional method. These differences have been shown in the post-test of linguistic patterns in favor of experimental group. The most important recommendation of the study: 1) School curricula designers should include the curriculum of Arabic language for educational games maintaining its diversity and purposiveness especially in linguistic patterns lessons. 2) Training courses for teachers should be convened to increase their awareness about educational games and provide them with a set of suggested games that can be employed within Arabic lessons specially in teaching linguistic patterns. 3) Teaching linguistic patterns should be taken into consideration, and any new appropriate pattern should be employed to maintain the improvement among students.
