فاعلية برنامج مقترح قائم على التعلم النشط في تنمية المفاهيم الصحية في مادة العلوم الحياتية لدى طالبات الصف العاشر



The study aimed The Effectiveness of A Suggested Program Based on Active Learning in Developing Health Concepts in Life Sciences Subject among Tenth Grade Female Students. To achieve the study objectives, the researcher used both the Quasi Experimental and the descriptive approaches. The sample consisted of (85) tenth grade female students selected from Hamad Bin Khalifa Secondary School for Girls. The sample was divided into two groups; the experimental group including (43) students who were taught by (the suggested program based on active learning), and the control group including (42) students who were taught by (a traditional method). The study tool was represented in a health concepts test. 1) There are statistically significant differences at the level of (α=0.01) between the mean scores of the experimental group students and the mean scores of the control group students in the post –test application of health concepts in favor of the experimental group. 2) The suggested program based on active learning achieved the score of (1.2) according to Black's gain ratio in developing health concepts. Using active learning strategies at a wider level than the sample of the current study because of their impact on developing health concepts among students. (Author's abstract)
