To identify the effectiveness of a program based on Swartz’ model for developing critical thinking skills among female fourth grade students in Gaza. The researcher used the experimental approach for its relevance to the objective and nature of this study. The researcher analyzed the content of the Science and Life Unit according to a list of critical thinking skills. She also developed a test for critical thinking skills and a Teacher's Guide. The sample consisted of the fourth grade students from Al Draj Primary School for Refugees (D). The sample consisted of (80) students who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The independent variable (Schwartz model) was subjected to experimentation and measuring its effectiveness for developing critical thinking skills. The study was implemented in the first semester of the academic year 2017-2018. There were statistically significant differences at the level of (α = 0.01) between the mean scores of the experimental group and their peers in the control group in the post-application of the test of critical thinking skills as a whole in favor of the experimental group. 1) Utilizing the educational and training programs based on the Swratz model in different educational stages, and employing them in the educational process so as to achieve the interaction in education and improving students' intellectual behavior in public life. 2) Conducting workshops for teachers to train them on how to prepare and plan Swartz model lessons and use them effectively in teaching.
