أثر توظيف نموذج درايفر في تنمية مهارات التفكير التأملي والاستطلاع العلمي في مادة العلوم لدى طالبات الصف التاسع الأساسي



This study aims at identifying the impact of employing Driver’s model for developing reflective thinking and scientific exploration skills in science course of female students in the ninth primary grade. A content analysis tool, a test for the skills of reflective thinking and scientific exploration scale. The study sample consisted of 77 ninth grade female students from AlQuds Prep. The research methodology followed the Experimental approach. The most important findings of the study: 1) There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) in the mean scores of the female students in the experimental group and control group in post-test of the skills of reflective thinking. Differences were in favor of the experimental group. 2) There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) in the mean scores of the female students in the experimental group and control group in post-test of the scientific exploration scale. Differences were in favor of the experimental group. The most important recommendation: 1) There is a need to employ Driver’s model as a teaching model in science courses of all educational grades for being an effective model in developing reflective thinking and scientific exploration skills. 2) It is necessary that school books should contain the Reflective Thinking skills in the different educational stage.
