أثر توظيف استراتيجية التعلم المتمركز حول المشكلة في تنمية مهارات التفكير الرياضي لدى طلاب الصف التاسع الأساسي بغزة



This study aims at identifying the impact of employing the problem-centered Learning strategy on developing the mathematical thinking skills of the ninth primary grade students in Gaza. The study tools was Mathematical thinking test. The study was applied on a sample that consisted of (64) fifth grade male pupils from the UNRWA School named Bani Suhaila Prep Boys’ School (b).Two classes were randomly selected, one of them was for the experimental group (32) and the other was for the control group (32). During the first semester (2015/2016). The researcher used the experimental method to conduct the study. The most important findings of the study: There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≤ 0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group students and the mean scores of their peers in the control group in the mathematical thinking skills test results in favor of the experimental group. The most important recommendations of the study: The researcher stressed the need to use the problem-centered learning strategy in the teaching mathematics at all levels of education. She also recommended holding training courses for mathematics teachers to teach them how to use problem-centered learning strategy for the development of mathematical thinking. (Author's abstract)
